Sonic The Hedgehog #240
Archie (October, 2012)
“Heroes” part 2: “For The People” the prelude to Sonic Universe’s “Secret Freedom Fighters” storyline ends here WRITER: Ian Flynn PENCILER: Steven Butler INKER: Terry Austin COLORIST: Matt Herms LETTERER: John Workman picked up the “Sega” variant cover because frankly neither of them worked and the other was Amy standing there, drawn by Greg Horn ASSISTANT EDITOR: Vincent Lovallo EDITOR: Paul Kaminski
As Team Fighters continue the clean-up in Feral Forest, Team Freedom must stand against Eggman and his Metal Series. However, they get little help from Nagus as his former selves start fighting him and Eggman as the Tails doll causing more mischief. Luckily they have a little secret help.
What they got right: Team Fighters shows what they’ve got and it turns out they’ve got a lot. It’s nice to know Sonic isn’t the only one who can defeat the bad guys. The mystery of the Tails doll is solved. I also like how Elias has to come to accept the Secret Freedom Fighter rather than blindly accepting them. It makes it more satisfying when the team is approved.
What they got wrong: The bit with Naugus and the Secret Freedom Fighter is already going on in the pages of Sonic Universe, so we already know how their part of the story goes down. Maybe they should have waited for the SFF arc until this issue came out?
Recommendation: Definitely a comic worth looking into.

It’s tough seeing a Tails robot go boom, but it’s kind of cool. Amy I don’t mind so much.
