If you thought Japan had the lock on being crazy there’s this area of Indian (as in India) moviemakers known as Bollywood. If you’ve seen clips of these particular Hindu films you know they do some rather bizarre things, often using variations of Hollywood productions. Tonight we have an example of that weirdness.
If you’ve ever wanted to see He-Man do a sexy dance routine…something is wrong with you. While there was a US stage show, I bet it was nothing like the performance in this scene from Nafrat Ki Aandhi.
From what I can tell this scene is just what the Nostalgia Chick of That Guy With The Glasses refers to as a “Big-Lipped Alligator Moment“, where a song and dance scene pops up for no good reason and is never brought up again. I’m mostly posting it because BW’s negativity levels feel like they’re going a bit too high.
Now if this is a stage show in some restaurant (are restaurants like this in India, or is this some special place?), I have to ask how “He-Man” started shooting lighting. And is that lady supposed to be Teela, the Sorceress, or Evil-Lyn? Poor Skeletor is reduced to a giant cheap statue. No wonder he’s so upset.
Check around YouTube folks. There’s all sorts of weird stuff coming out of Bollywood.
