There are times I think Guidi’s interpretation is better than the story we actually get.

Transformers: Regeneration One #83

IDW Publishing (September, 2012)

“Loose Ends” part 3
WRITER: Simon Furman
PENCILER: Andrew Wildman
INKER: Stephen Baskerville
COLORIST: John-Paul Bove
LETTERER: Chris Mowry
EDITOR: John Barber

Circuit Smasher (alias Spike Witwicky, former binary-bond partner to Fortress Maximus) takes the Autobots to their base and tells them what happened to both Megatron and Earth. Optimus learns where the Wreckers went and know Megatron is back, forming a squad to travel there. This is good news to Bludgeon.

What they got right: Humans willing to work WITH Autobots? In a Transformers COMIC? Not used to that. They remembered Trailbreaker exists. I guess that’s something. Also, G.B. Blackrock.

What they got wrong: Why would they have Scraplets in the Ark’s lab? They already know the cure. Also, “Auntie” (wrong spelling) was never mentioned again in US continuity past the first four issues and never mentioned as being alive. Why is Springer so huffy about its/her name?

Recommendation: Not as bad as last issue, although I would have subtitled this “exposition”. If  you want to see giant, warring, shapeshifting robots sit around and talk as holograms, this is the comic for you.
