Steve Troop put out an enjoyable webcomic called Melonpool. The science fiction parody tells the tale of the crew of the Steel Duck, captained by Star Trek enthusiast Mayberry Melonpool (the title character), and all the hijinks they get caught up in whether in space or during the many times they’ve been marooned on Earth.
However, Troop’s first love is puppetry, and has made puppets for music videos and ad campaigns. He has done a few skits on his YouTube page featuring puppet versions of his comic characters but now wants to make a feature-length movie.
He already has enough on his Kickstarter to produce the movie but with 21 days (as of this posting) left, he wants to get a little extra to improve the sets and props he already has. You can see more skits on his YouTube page and read the original strip on his website. Think of the puppy.
