After a testing session while trying to figure out what changes have been made to our heroines in the transition between universes, they chitchat about experiences they’ve had since their arrival. Power Girl fends off another attempt to destroy one the experiments she hopes will send her home. Meanwhile, Huntress stops a sniper at a midnight violence protest rally.

What they got right: Apparently we’re done with watching them hang around in their early years and get on with the superhero stuff, although it’s still flasbacking. The artwork is well done…

What they got wrong:…but do they really need to have different artists for every sequence? And is this how it’s always going to be? Flashbacks of what the heroines did after coming to the regular DC Universe rather than current events? Also, there’s no explanation of who the sniper was shooting at, since nobody at the rally seemed to even notice. If this doesn’t come back to haunt her, then we don’t really know she stopped a bad guy.

Recommendation: While I hope the series isn’t always going to be a lot of flashbacks, this was a good story, and I want to see more from these characters, which is more than I can say from the rest of the New 52 right now.

No joke here, that’s just a real good panel.

    Yeah, it’s probably always going to be like that, because neither Perez nor Maguire can do a full book on a monthly schedule. That’s probably why we had Orday instead of Maguire this month–Maguire did the full 0 issue, ansd needed the break to get caught up.
