Derek’s escape plan hits a snag when he runs into the Reptiloid Elite, but luckily Super Dinosaur and the gang arrive. Even then it’s the last-minute appearance of a Tyrannosaurus (and I’m calling it now–SD’s mom; quote me on it) that wins the day, allowing our heroes to return home. Meanwhile the Exile may have gotten at least part of what he wanted.
What they got right: New enemies for the team (that seems like a well thought out idea at the moment) and some potential for SD’s growth/backstory add to the usual praising of story and art.
What they got wrong: SD may soon run out of ways to say “eat missiles” someday, and we must prepare for that day.
Recommendation: Just go buy it already.
Now he’s just showing off.
