With a little help from his friends, and a little ray cannon, the Rocketeer is able to deal with the dinosaurs. The triangle with Betty, Cliff, and Sally is resolved, but one of our hero’s new friends has a secret.
What they got right: The Rocketeer fights dinosaurs. If that isn’t enough to get you to buy this comic, what’s wrong with you? Anyway, the “Betty vs. Sally” plot gets resolved satisfactorily and the whole mini-series has been a joy to read.
What they got wrong: How does the real big bad not know who the Rocketeer is? I know I missed another reference here. Also, unless Roger Langridge, who is writing the next mini-series, picks up where Mark left off with that secret I mentioned it becomes an unresolved plot point thus making it rather unnecessary.
Recommendation: Wait for the trade or hunt down all four issues. It’s nice that there are writers who can keep this franchise going.
In hindsight, I should have saved this for a Friday Night Fight.
