Our heroes break into Lord Hood’s castle to rescue their friends. However, the true royal family of Mercia have escaped while Mighty and Ray are nowhere to be found. Espio is able to get a lead on Mighty’s sister, leading the Chaotix to Sand Blast City, which never goes well for anyone.
What they got right: Fighting should be fun (for the reader, anyway) and this was the kind of fight I like bringing to the FNF. The Chaotix and Mercian Freedom Fighters work well together, which is also my kind of team-up story.
What they got wrong: Will someone just finish off Sand Blast City already? They’re giving Mobians a bad name and are only slightly more interesting than Geoffrey St. Jerk.
Recommendation: Still my favorite of the Sonic titles and worth reading.
