This is where I usually go into they semi-spoiler synopsis, but that’s hard because this story is all over the place. From what I can gather, the Autobots divert to Sensensica where the Decepticons have captured their latest clue to the Knights of Cybertron. Whirl is more than happy to hunt Decepticons and gets a chance to get rid of Cyclonus and Swerve ends up blowing his own face off. Because Roberts seems to love torturing robots.
But that’s not the big problem here. The problem is a big no-no in narratives. The story goes back and forth between the battle and the aftermath and while Roberts thought he was being clever I find it hard to follow what’s going on. There’s no reason to when or why the story jumps between points in time and the result is just a huge mess to follow.
I have plenty of issues with Roberts’ take on the Transformers, as noted in most of my reviews to this point, but he’s still a better writer than this disaster of a story. Feel free to leave this one sitting on the shelf and you know how much I hate saying that about a Transformers comic.
