I really do need to put some more Lois Lane art in my media library.
Fellow Friday Night Fighter “Notintheface” and I are polar opposites when it comes to political and many social issues. On the other hand we are almost completely in sync when it comes to views on the many, many failings of the New 52 and Marvel, although he follows the “Justice League Dark” titles more closely than I do. Still, he ended 2012 with a listing of some of the worst things DC and Marvel did last year. Of special note is the long part at the end, where he goes over the terrible treatment Lois Lane and the Supermarriage have received in favor the “eugenics” relationship of Kal-El and Wonder Woman. It kind of makes me sick, too.
In fairness, though, he also found some things DC and Marvel did right (including agreeing with me that the Anguish story is a great example of how New 52 Superman should be written). Now in some cases we have different tastes, but liking or not liking something doesn’t mean that a story is good or bad. Besides, I have daily comic reviews to give you an idea what I think are good reads and what aren’t.
