When done right, computer-generated images (or CGI) can enhance a scene and you might not even know it is there. Done wrong, however, and you joined Cracked.com’s list of The 7 Most Common CGI Screw-Ups (Explained). Sometimes it’s laughably obvious, sometimes it’s the uncanny valley, you many not have even caught it but somewhere in the back of your mind you know there’s something not quite right. Is it limits or bad computer animation? Writer Christina H. has some first-hand knowledge of what just what went wrong on some big-budget pictures with less believable effects than some of my reviewing colleagues whose budget is whatever Blip or YouTube paid them that pay period.
