I’ve mentioned before how much I enjoy Sean Wang’s Runners series ever since I met him at ConnectiCon 2009. Well, apparently I’m not the only one. IFC.com contributor Rick Marshall is proposing an animated series, and as proof of concept he found a short film based on the first issue, created for the Digital Animation and Visual Effects School. Check it out.
While the comic is still on hiatus while Vol 3 is in production you really should take a look at it because as I’ve said in the past it’s really a great comic. As for the cartoon, it’s a student film so I’m not expecting top quality but it still shows that it could work as a series or at least a set of movies.
