Welcome back to the best of what’s left. The game is still Fight Life, the rules still nonexistent. So let’s get right into the action.
The Best of
Fight Life rounds 7-12
- You know, we in the old comics blogging game (yes, I do that…sometimes) make fun of Lois and Carol Ferris for how they chase certain people around. But they’ve NOTHING on Sue Jordan!
- And My Entry: Even Godzilla knows when not to fight.
- Was there ever a superhero wedding that DIDN’T end in a villain attack? Just another benefit of secret identities.
- I don’t usually go for the fights where superheroes fight non-crooked cops but those are some serious moves.
- Speaking of serious moves, some people just need to know when to quit. I suggest as soon as you realize your fighting Shang-Chi.
- Your teacher: Tony Stark. Your subject: biology.
- Any My Entry: Ben 10 Vs. Ben 10. My money’s on the kid with the watch.
- Here’s something you won’t see on Kitchen Nightmares.
- And My Entry: From the mini-comic I can’t seem to stop going to fights from.
- Why Hawkman is underrated.
- This is how you draw a hot girl in a fight scene.
- I don’t know. I think he kind of defeated himself here.
- And My Entry: Well, that’s a cruel form of suicide.
- I’ve never been more conflicted about an FNF entry in my life.
- It’s not really a fight, but it is a great human moment. So to speak.
- Harsh indeed.
- And My Entry: If you went to see all the fights you may have noticed that many of them came from Dwayne McDuffie, who had passed away that week. I also took my fight from one of his stories, but I didn’t know he ever wrote for Marvel, much less Double Dragon. I wasn’t paying that close attention when I first bought the comic.
- Messing with the Hulk’s girl is always a bad idea.
- And My Entry: Another dragon battle, this time with Dark Horse’s answer to Ultraman.
I should have checked all the rounds before I started this edition of Best of FNF. Usually I have six rounds in part one and seven rounds in part two because of the bonus round/Prize Fight. However, there was also a special edition FNF so I should have put round 7 over in part one to balance it out. Live and learn I guess.
- The surprisingly most controversial scene in Star Wars. For sci-fi geeks anyway.
- Geez, Hal can’t even beat himself!
- We always hear about the bridge but not about what came after.
- A good fight, but so much illogic.
- And My Entry: Of course I went with Devastator.
I didn’t get to take part in the Prize Fight and only made a posting to help promote it. So let’s just look at the actual top combatants.
- Let’s face it. They had me at samurai robots. Granted, ninja robots would have been cooler.
- Superboy shouldn’t be gambling.
- Much better than the Superman II scene.
Thus we come to the end of another Best of Friday Night Fights. Next week should be a new tournament, so feel free to join in on the battle. Check Spacebooger.com every Tuesday night to see if the event is happening as well as the ground rules. See you ringside!
