The space monster are reigning terror and Boxer can’t do a thing about it. Mostly because the guy he tried to carjack is a cranky old man, but maybe can rescue Godzilla…oh, never mind. Godzilla has that covered, but what about the other monsters? Godzilla may need help.
What they got right: At least the humans were entertaining. The monsters were well drawn and the threat is properly portrayed.
What they got wrong: Boxer really did nothing this story except provide exposition which took up almost half the story, and where he didn’t bring it up Hikari did. Was this intended as a jump-on point? It seems like it could have been done in two or three pages and got more of the actual story in, rather than waiting for next issue for some of it.
Recommendation: I suppose it is a decent jump-on point and if you’re collecting the series this isn’t a bad story per say, but otherwise if you miss it, you really aren’t missing a lot.
