What they got right: Finally we start learning a few things. There’s still so much this comic hasn’t told us, thus making it hard for new readers to the series like me, but I’m finding it easier to read without that background. I still want that background, mind you.
What they got wrong: You’re censoring f— but s— is uncensored. Look, censor the swearing or don’t, it doesn’t matter to me. This isn’t a kid-friendly comic. Just show a little consistency. Just because the latter popped up on South Park, the point of which seems lost on people and yes I did see the tail end of the episode, doesn’t mean it’s suddenly a free to say word. Pretty sure it is uncensored in every other episode for a reason.
Recommendation: I’m losing interest not because the comic is bad, because it’s actually quite good, even without a standout scene for Best Scene. It’s just not my kind of title and I’ve only gotten them because it’s free and in my pull folder, my LCS knowing I do reviews. I’m not sure how long I’ll keep reading, or how many issues the Kickstarter has funded to keep it free in the future, but it’s still worth checking out.
