Team Fighters must decide whether or not to trust Shard while battling the Krudzu Hybrid Hydra “wearing” MechaKnuckles. Meanwhile the real Knuckles races after Thrash…and loses. Back at base, Silver may finally know who the traitor is.
What they got right: The fight and chase scenes are well done. There’s really not much to the story beyond that, so it had better be good.
What they got wrong: I’m sorry, but why couldn’t this story end with Knuckles rescuing the Echidna? Haven’t they suffered enough without this? I suppose this is going to lead to another Sonic Universe arc, or maybe this leads into the Mega Man crossover somehow. Either way, I would have preferred a happier ending, since Knuckles also lost his mom and girlfriend.
Recommendation: It’s still a decent action piece so it’s worth recommending.
Not the first time an event I didn’t like led to a Best Scene nomination for how it’s done.
