Crossovers allow fans of more than one series to see their favorite characters team-up. Comics seem to be the best place for this, although movies have done this as well. If you happen to like both DC and Marvel you want to see the heroes team-up (or if you’re not me, you want to see them fight). But how many of you asked to see the DC Universe team up with the Looney Tunes?

Yes, when a company has access to more than one universe they like to throw them together, and this was definitely thrown together,  but in a way it was kind of fun. Unless you’re Mxyzptlk.

“Assassin” round 9

The Battlefield: Superman & Bugs Bunny #1 (DC Comics; July, 2000) “The DC Super Heroes Meet The Looney Tunes”

The Promoters: Mark Evanier (writer), Joe Staton (layouts), Tom Palmer, Mike DeCarlo (finishers), Phil Felix (letterer) and Trish Mulvihill (colorist, with Digital Chameleon on separations)

The closest thing the Looney Tunes have to Mxyzptlk is the Do-Do, with some exaggeration to pull this story off. For example, he’s giving Mxy a tour of the Looney Tunes world. Including this spot.

And why is Mxyzptlk afraid of a sword?

And why is Mxyzptlk afraid of a sword?

Remember, Mxyzptlk is 5th dimensional imp with fantastic powers and Daffy…

He's going to have an awful headache in the morning.

…has an anvil.
