Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #20

IDW Publishing (March, 2013)

STORY: Kevin Eastman & Tom Waltz
SCRIPT: Tom Waltz
ARTIST: Ben Gates
COLORIST: Ronda Pattison
LETTERER: Shawn Lee
EDITOR: Bobby Curnow

On Neutrino our heroes do their part to help rescue the king and queen, but both Krang and Michelangelo may still get what they want. On Earth, so has Curai and Krang isn’t going to be happy about it. And Casey and April may be getting closer, but the Turtles are coming home.

What they got right: Heavy action, setting up future stories and a potential clash between Krang and the Foot. Decent art. There’s a lot to like here.

What they got wrong: The Turtles still look like their Nickelodeon version and wasn’t the point of all this to keep Fugitoid out of Krang’s hands?

Other notes: There’s also a discussion between Donatello and Fugitoid about the soul in relation to teleportation and reincarnation. I’m not sure what I think about it, but it was an interesting idea.

Recommendation: As usual an enjoyable comic that’s worth getting.
