Ma takes the kids for a “field trip” to Metropolis under secret identities. It’s just in time for Doomsday to arrive on Earth to challenge Superman. However, he’s at the Fortress trying to rescue Kandor from Brainiac and I’m not sure whose side Zod is on. I do know that it’s bad news for Kandor…but good news for Jor-El and Lara? Wait, she’s pregnant?
What they got right: OK, as ridiculous as the ides of Martha Kent versus Doomsday is it’s too cute to be mad at. Fans of Tiny Titans will enjoy the cameo.
What they got wrong: Exactly how is Lara pregnant? She and Jor-El haven’t…you know…since he died and she died was sent to the Phantom Zone. And can they make Jor-El alive for 24 hours whenever they want? Are there any limits?
Recommendation: Remember when Superman stories were fun? Well, DC wants you to forget because they’re cancelling this title. Enjoy while you can.
Don’t worry, Lois. I’m confused, too.
