I’ve sat through this ad with every issue of Malibu’s Battletech I’ve read this week, even the #0 issue I didn’t review. So I thought I’d share it with you, if only because it features the Gary Stu hero of Fallout himself, Bedford Beauregard.
Because the best way to define how good a MechWarrior is would be how well they know obscure sports?
Virtual World is a gaming center supplier who has the official license to distribute a Battletech simulator and you can find them around the US. They’re still around and still making Battletech pods. At least they seem easy to operate.
“Firestorm” appears to be the latest version. The closest one to me is in West Babylon, New York, depending on how long it’s been since there’s been a proper update. (That video, for example, was uploaded in 2010 and the last news post for the official site was in 2012.) I may never get to play the game, but it does look fun.
But there’s one more review coming for “Battletech” Week, just not here at the Spotlight. (Although at some point my one novel will end up in Chapter By Chapter.) This afternoon, hit The Clutter Reports for a review of the gaming sourcebook based on the animated series.
