The first story is a different take on the “Church Of Superman”, which turns out to be a mistake that got out of hand. A mistake that may lead to 900 people jumping off a roof to prove to Superman that he’s more “super” than “man”. He has a…different solution to this dilemma. I like this one as it shows Superman in a unique situation that his powers won’t be able to help him with so he much uses his wits. I’ll give Lapham credit for coming up with something unique. This may be one of my favorite Superman stories.

The second story I liked but it’s got a problem. Darkseid turns Wonder Woman (in a New 52 outfit while Superman’s in his classic one) and Martian Manhunter against him while preparing to launch a missile filled with how he did it. Again, Superman uses his head to outwit his foe, but it’s kind of short. There’s this subplot involving a Russian orphan that has a nice moment but it feels tacked on since it has nothing to do with the rest of the story.

Overall, a nice comic that’s worth picking up.
