Samurai Jack #3

This is one of the reasons I don’t have any plans to visit San Diego Comic-Con.

Samurai Jack #3

IDW Publishing (December, 2013)

“The Threads Of Time” part 3
WRITER: Jim Zub
ARTIST: Andy Suriano
COLORIST: Josh Burcham
LETTERER: Shawn Lee
EDITOR: Carlos Guzman
“SAMURAI JACK” CREATOR: Genndy Tartakovsky

The third strand of the Rope Of Eons brings Jack to a city protected by a mighty warrior that could be the Greek equivalent of the Scotsman, except he’s less abrasive…and holding a huge secret about the city.

What they got right: But for once it isn’t some deep, evil secret but a rather tragic one. It’s nice to see Jack not really have to fight some villain to get the next thread. And we still get some action that again shows Jack isn’t unbeatable. I’m really dancing around spoilers here because I want you to be surprised if you haven’t read it already.

What they got wrong: Nothing. Move on.

Recommendation: I like how each issue is part of a larger arc but can be enjoyed separately, making it easier for someone to start on any issue without being confused. Definitely look into this comic if you haven’t already.

Samurai Jack #3 Best Scene

A friendly sparring match. There’s something you seldom see Jack having.
