I really don’t care about the Academy Awards. It’s rare when something I enjoyed was even nominated, much less wins anything and they snub animated movies while ignoring some of them have so much CG they might as well BE animated. But this year’s Oscars has an extra dose of failure. The Dissolve‘s Matt Singer learned that people who voted for the big winner, 12 Years A Slave, never even saw the movie. How do you do that? Do you want to be taken less seriously than American Idol?
