Steve Austin is sent to retrieve a down satellite, but someone really wants it. Meanwhile, someone at OSI wants to replace bionic agents with his “number one” android..which his crew wants to call Maskatron.
First, for reference:
What they got right: Maskatron was never in the show. He was exclusive to the toyline. So I like that they’re actually using him/it in a story. Also, this is the “Bionic Man” comic I wanted to read. It was fun and we didn’t have to wait FOUR ISSUES for the “good stuff”. Plus, Steve fights sharks.
What they got wro… STEVE AUSTIN FIGHTS SHARKS WITH HIS BARE BIONIC HANDS! You can’t screw that up! Okay, fine, too many variant covers. Putting resources into variants meant less of the cover we all wanted, with a normal Steve punching through a picture of Maskatron drawn by Alex Ross.
Recommendation: Any fan of the show should have already gotten this comic.
Again…STEVE AUSTIN PUNCHES A SHARK WITH HIS BARE BIONIC HANDS! They even get the sound effect right!
