Hollywood has yet to capture the true awesomeness that is the Batcape!
As someone who has written about his love of capes (when they fit the character’s style) and how they are shorthand for “superhero” I am happy to see a fellow defender, and from a comic creator as well. Chris G (not to be confused with Chris Giarrusso) also does reviews and commentaries about comics. He’s like me but successful. He also did a video commentary defending superhero capes and other scoffed-at (by the “kewl” kids) fashion choices. It’s why the classic Superman costume is better than Jim Lee’s armor. In one word: iconography.
