Then Raph decides Leo is the best one to handle Saki and returns to his brothers against the clones. It’s Leonardo and Shredder’s final battle and you can guess which one survives.
What they got right: I do like that Leonardo and Shredder have a final battle, after Leo’s treatment at the hand of the Foot some time ago. For the art style the fight was pretty good.
What they got wrong: However, part of me wishes all four would have been involved in the final battle, like in the first two live-action movies. Also, while I do like that the Foot mixes legend and science….a colony of worms that eats part of Shredder’s remains and then form into him? What?
Other Notes: This battle is later repeated in the second series when that version of the Turtles also returns to New York. Except this time Shredder isn’t a robot suit operated by an evil Utrom.
Recommendation: As far as I know this is the final appearance of the Shredder. That makes this issue a must read, if not the whole arc.
