Most of the reviews I’ve seen of the new Godzilla movie have been positive…which makes my current financial status even more frustrating! *ahem* Anyway, it almost wasn’t our second attempt at a US Godzilla movie. The translators of the English dub of Godzilla 2000 had wanted to make a sequel produced in the US but using the Toho team to create the effects. And the reason it wasn’t is really quite stupid. Steve Ryfle of Sci-Fi Japan has the exclusive interview! (hat tip to Matt Burkett) I want IDW to adapt this script like they’re doing for that Star Trek story Harlan Ellison wrote but was changed to fit continuity.
