The Prize Fight for “Battling Murdock/Battling Jack” (I got the name wrong in some of the early entries) is “Red Devil”, which each fight should have. I don’t know my collection as well as I want to so I don’t know how many devils I have. I own maybe one or two Daredevil comic (which is where “Battling Jack Murdock” is from) so I’m kind of limited. I also didn’t win any of the regular rounds so I’m not prize compliant anyway. Still, I want to help promote the event and in the mood Firestorm is in for tonight’s entry he’s about to put the fear of God into a couple of muggers. Also, his hair is on fire and stuff so I’m totally counting it.

“Red Devil”
The Battlefield: Fury Of Firestorm #3 (DC Comics; August, 1982) “There’s A Cold Time In The Old Town Tonight…”
The Promoters: Gerry Conway (writer), Pat Broderick (artist), Rodin Rodriguez (embelliser/inker), Gene D’Angelo (colorist), and Todd Klein (letterer)
In issue #1 a pair of muggers kill an old man in the park. That man happened to be the grandfather of Ronnie’s teacher, and let’s just say it caused some major problems. So Ronnie decided to track down the muggers and since he’s one half of Firestorm that turned out to be pretty easy.
In the real world if we saw a guy flying and burning our friend’s face we’d poop our pants. In the DC Universe it’s “uh oh” like the cops showed up. I love the DC Universe. Under better creators than the New 52.
Ronnie admitted that for a while he almost let the guy get hit. He was that mad. Maybe the devil almost made him do it? Or am I really stretching to match the theme?
