“Yesterday’s” Comic> Red Dragon #1

This is the worst Blanka cosplay I’ve ever seen.

A bank heist has gone wrong and the Domino Gang is threatening to kill all the hostages if they don’t get a helicopter out of there. Well, they get a helicopter, but it belongs to Red Dragon, self-charged protector of China, who defeats the gang and takes their leader to the generals. There we learn they are keeping Red Dragon’s true origins from him and are working on secret experiments involving the gang leader.

Oh, I should probably mention that our big hero GETS ALL OF THE HOSTAGES AND A NEWS CAMERAMAN KILLED WHILE HE KILLS THE REST OF THE GANG! Oh, but he saved the reporter lady. Good for you, RD. Here’s a gold star. Not that the generals care. They consider them collateral damage and blamed it on their helicopter going boom during the fight. I’m betting you see my problem with this comic.

On top of that the narration makes no sense and I’m not even sure who is doing the talking. We’re also told that Red Dragon was trained in the art of fighting and in the art of love. Why? There is nobody to like, it’s all violent for no good reason, nothing makes any sense except the senseless violence, and it’s all in a package that should be reviewed on Atop The Fourth Wall because this comic sucks hard! Which makes my recommendation obvious: avoid this comic unless this is your kind of thing. This comic came as part of a set when I bought one of those Comico try-out sets that came with a bunch of sample comics. There are a bunch more and if this is what they were going for I’m glad I wasn’t able to try out. Plus these things are usually focused more on the artist than the writer anyway.
