The novel and movie of the same name made “Sybil” synonymous with “multiple personalities”. Except the real Sybil (aka Shirley Mason) never actually suffered from multiple personality disorder. So says Cracked contributor Vann Vicente as he looks into this and other books that not only weren’t actually non-fiction but in two cases it wasn’t written by the same race and another was part of a series of fake teen diaries.
