I know television shows and movies take some minor liberties with physics and occasionally history for the sake of their story. When changes are made to make a quick gag that falls flat when someone knows the facts that have no impact on the story or, worse, when a HUGE change is made to a real-life person to make the intended hero look better (see also the Nostalgia Critic’s review of Patch Adams ) that’s a whole other story. When I read that happened to a judge in The Untouchables I was not happy. Luckily that’s the worst offender Cracked readers found in this “photoplasty” listing of major facts movies got wrong, most of them due to lazy fact checking more than the needs of the story.
