There has been a lot of talk lately about conventions and how well comic creators do at conventions. If they can’t even make back the money spent on renting the table for whatever days I can see why. However, Ryan Estrada (a friend of BW Virtual Mentor Jerzy Drozd) tried a counter-intuitive experiment at an English language geek convention in Korea called AlleyCon. He made his table into a “pay what you want” table for his print comics…and did more than he thought he would had he simply sold it like usual. Sometimes experiments pay off.
