If you’ve been following my comic reviews this week you know about the World Championship Wrestling comic. I have, and reviewed, two issues. This one is set on the Bruise Cruise, an actual promotion by WCW where you could win a cruise where the wrestlers performed. Although I doubt anyone tried to bomb one. Until now.

“Ghost” Round 2
The Battlefield: WCW World Championship Wrestling #3 (Marvel; June, 1992) “Bruise Cruise”
The Promoters: Mike Lackey (writer), Ron Wilson (penciler), Don Hudson (inker), Kevin Tinsley (colorist), and Michael Higgins (letterer)
Cactus Jack has a bomb and is planning to blow up the Bruise Cruise. Apparently Sting is the only hero wrestler there and thus is the only one to challenge him.
Sting and Jack fall off of the smokestack (not a surprise), and Sting tosses the bomb over, as they land in the wrestling ring for the event. I’m not sure if I should blame comics or professional wrestling for either of them surviving that.
If you think Cactus Jack is going down that easy you forget he’s kind of nuts.
No, taking Jack down requires a splash page.
No “bang bang” tonight, Jack. (That’s not code for anything. That was the closest thing Cactus Jack had to a catch phrase.)
