Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #4

Angel Grove takes part in a contest doing pro-environmental videos. This gives Zedd and Finster the idea to send down the ecological menace Swam Man. Even the ThunderMegaZord can’t stop it until Tommy is called in with the Tigerzord to pull off a unique plan to finish the monster off. Naturally the kids appear to be a shoe-in to win the contest because this is Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Whatever they don’t excel at they will by the end of the story.
What they got right: Swamp Man again takes advantage of this being a comic book and creating a cool monster the show couldn’t have pulled off. Markstein seems to have a handle on the characters.
What they got wrong: Although it’s still a little outdated. By now he should know Finster doesn’t help with the monster making anymore. Tommy is still acting like he’s losing his Green Ranger powers when he’s now the White Ranger. He shouldn’t need a confidence boost anymore, and he doesn’t really get it here.
Recommendation: Minor fan nitpicks aside this is still a good comic. Worth getting for Ranger fans.
