It’s hard to tell what’s falling apart more, the story planet or the new Transformer alliance. Grimlock’s feud with Fangry isn’t helping matters, but Bludgeon is determined to keep the Decepticons on their conquering ways, and apparently rebuilding a new planet for them isn’t enough. So he sabotages the Autobot ships, leaving them stranded. Meanwhile, Shockwave and Starscream take off in the Ark, unaware that Galvatron has stowed away…or that Megatron is alive and walking the halls! And Hi-Q still swears he’s Optimus Prime and tries to convince the Neo Knights (are they still in this story?) to help him find the Last Autobot.
You know, when the character you’re trying to have come off as wrong is actually right, you screwed up. And when you have to make him a well-meaning idiot to prove him wrong in spite of previous portrayals that’s just as bad. Both happens to Prowl this issue. On the one hand, a rallying speech to give the Autobots hope is a good idea. At least some demonstration that isn’t punching a Decepticon through a wall and telling everyone around, Autobot and Decepticons alike, how much you hate Decepticons isn’t going to help forge an alliance, or even an agreement to go their separate ways. On the other hand, Prowl is too quick to trust Bludgeon and thinking everyone is going to be in favor of peacefully settling a new planet. Furman hates Prowl as much as he loves Grimlock.
That’s really all I have to say that I haven’t said already. Too many subplots, pet characters, ruining good characters to boost those pet characters…it all boils down to a story I have no interest in. If someone asked me if I recommend this comic, I’d have to say no.
