Bob “moviebob/Game Overthinker” Chipman and I disagree completely on politics, and even in media we’ve disagreed on occasion, although there we mostly agree. I’ve posted or pointed to his work, congratulated him for getting into the Internet Hall Of Fame hosted by The Shades, and promoted his productions. Now he’s preparing a new web series called Really That Good, a movie review show I can get behind.
I like this idea. Here at the Spotlight I try to look at the good and bad. Bad tends to be the default of many internet reviewers because bad productions are easier to make fun of, especially if they fall into the “so bad it’s good” territory. To see why a movie has gained the fanbase or critical acclaim it has should be an interesting show. I’m looking forward to it because even when Chipman and I disagree he’s very interesting.
