Morning Article Links: Building My Faith In The Captain Marvel Convergence

I should probably use the Whiz Comics cover all things considered but this is still one of my favorite Captain Marvel moments.

I’ve been, and still am, unsure when it comes to Convergence the DC Eventitis symptom that is going to let modern writers into the classic time periods, the ones they usually go out of their way to either avoid or lampoon for being too silly and not dark and angst-ridden enough for them. Extending this to Captain Marvel and the Marvel Family in light of Geoff Johns’ Curse of Shazam stories is something new to fear. At least until I saw these CBR interviews with writer Jeff Parker and artist Even Shaner. More Shaner’s because he appears to be a huge fan of the original Captain Marvel tales and that makes me happy.
