At least I have the order right on this one.
Macross II: The Micron Conspiracy #5

With UNR agents closing in and nabbing Zara, and even infiltrating SNN (the network Hibiki works for), Hibiki is in a race against time to air the video exposing the UNR. Sending a copy to Exxegran, he also manages to air it live, thus saving everyone.
What they got right: Hibiki gets some good obstacles to his victory, so it comes off lucky rather than Hibiki solves everything with his awesomeness.
What they got wrong: But for a story based on a mecha series, there wasn’t a lot of mecha involved. Throughout the miniseries we only had one serious mecha battle and a few appearances beyond that. I feel something important was lost that made this feel like a Macross/Robotech tale. Also, Silvie cooing over Hibiki and crying at a soap opera? That doesn’t sound like the Silvie I remember, much less the one that mostly held her own against her Zentraedi roommate.
Recommendation: While this story didn’t have to be a Macross II sequel, it’s still a pretty good story that’s worth checking out.
