After the events of Armageddon 2001 #2, Captain Atom finds himself in dinosaur times, but he isn’t alone. Monarch ended up landing there as well, and they’re both joined by aliens who want to blow up the Earth and nearby planets to create a wormhole, which is how they travel. Nat goes to stop them and ends up with the detonator…and lying in front of Roman soldiers!

What they got right: It’s good to see them continue Captain Atom’s story (since he doesn’t get to be Monarch now) and it wasn’t set in stone that Monarch ended up in the future or whatever so why not have him here? The unnamed aliens will add a new wrinkle to things.

What they got wrong: The chrome-skinned people the aliens mistake Captain Atom for are never named and will never be part of the story, so what was the point of this addition?

Recommendation: It’s off to a fair start. It may be worth a look but unless you wanted to know where Captain Atom and Monarch ended up from there it’s not a must-have.
