Hollywood as a bad habit of adding things to “based on a true story” movies that changes what we know about these real people because we take the movie at face value. Little embellishments for the sake of the story or fill in gaps we don’t know about is one thing. But when you totally change a character, most of us aren’t going to research the actual events and find out what really happened, which is why I like when someone points out what Hollywood screwed up and shows us what REALLY happened. But you know what makes thing worse? When what they took out was actually BETTER than what was in the movie!
