Earlier this week I mentioned a slight change in the DC Monday review. While I’m still doing two DCs a week, only one of them will be sticking with chronology. See, I like to have the previous review show up in the related articles section, but if I do the noon review before the midnight review then I won’t be able to get the midnight review into the noon review. So I came up with a better solution. The DC Animated Universe is one of the best iterations of the DC Multiverse. Just look at the impact it made with Batman. Mr. Freeze gets a whole new origin (I guess having the best reason to want revenge on Batman wasn’t enough), and both Harley Quinn and Renee Montoya get a main DCU counterpart…and then get screwed over like crazy but that’s another article. So the midnight review will continue main DC chronology while the afternoon review will be the tie-in comics, starting with the DCAU tie-ins. So we’ll begin with The Batman Adventures since that’s what comes up first in that section of the longbox. Tuesday’s Marvel will be the same thing only that one is ordered differently, so we’ll begin with Spidey Super Stories.
As for the rest of the week, I haven’t decided what to bunch Friday with, Saturday is only one review because it’s Saturday, and Thursday will get me through Transformers: Generation Two as fast as I can so I don’t care. Wednesday will be seeing the end of King Kong, and thus the end of Kaiju Wednesday and the Kaiju Force. I’m missing issue #5 so we’re jumping right to issue #6, which means the noon review will feature the beginning of the replacement feature, movie tie-in Wednesday! And in keeping with the current hype we’re starting with Star Wars. I’ll probably be done before the Christmas premiere date but I should be fine. So the daily review schedule (at least until I get a job or some other income source–wink wink nudge nudge) for comics (not counting the storylines or graphic novels worthy of a more in-depth Scanning My Collection review) will be:
- MONDAY: DC Universe/Batman DCAU
- TUESDAY: Marvel Universe/Spidey Super Stories
- WEDNESDAY: movie tie-in
- THURSDAY: Transformers
- FRIDAY: Gigantor
- SATURDAY: continuing through the longbox…currently still on the Amalgam universe before the final Access DC/Marvel crossover
- SUNDAY: Just Jake & Leon and updates
I hope this works for you guys as I try to bring you the best site one person still trying to deal with current situations can bring you. I still have a eulogy to write. I’ve never done that before and hope never to again for a very, very long time. Plus the videos are still going to come out, but I only have some interviews left unless I find that lost panel footage from Brass City Comic Convention 2012, and I should have some interesting footage for you on Saturday before I start trying to put together those videos I mentioned during the YouTube 50+ Subscriber Special that nobody except me took part in. And there’s the comic work I want to do as well because that’s a part of my dream that keeps getting left behind. Wish me luck, people. I’m pressing on!
