With the Expanded Universe now officially non-canon (although I don’t know when it was canon), Luke Skywalker never marries the Emperor’s former “right hand”, Mara Jade, leaving the prequel edict that Jedi can’t marry (and the rather stupid reason the comics gave) the law of the land. But laws can be changed, and one little boy did it the right way…he wrote to George Lucas and Lucasfilm responded!
