I see why How It Should Have Ended loves doing the Superhero Cafe bit. It’s a good place for superheroes to talk.
But yeah, 75 years, beginning with Detective Comics #38, and not a peep from DC since they’re focusing on Convergence. Apparently they can’t divide their attention to a character who hasn’t had a live-action appearance since Joel Schumacher. If it wasn’t for cartoons, video games, and the old TV series (because sadly not enough people care about old movie serials) only comic fans would know who he is, and that’s just not right. He doesn’t even have his superhero identity except in the trapped histories of Convergence right now. Nice failure, DC Comics, as well as the rest of the comics media. I know I’ve been out of the loop with funeral plans and other events but I haven’t seen a single Robin tribute by anybody, which is why I was only just reminded of this anniversary. That’s just wrong, man.
Not really any announcements this week. Armageddon: Inferno ends on Monday. I suppose there’s Star Wars Wednesday where I’m going into a pattern. The midnight review will feature comics based on the Prequels while the noon showing will go over the few original time period comics. Whomever ends first will get into comics taking place before those events, as Dark Horse loved exploring the pre-movie Old Republic. Hopefully by then I’ll have income and can pick up The Star Wars, the miniseries based on the original concept for the series. I’m also hoping to be able to talk about more than dusting for The Clutter Reports next week.
