Star Wars Tales - A Jedi's Weapon

A bit overkill for slicing pizza.

In a story taking place before Attack Of The Clones, Obi-Wan and Anakin are assigned to protect a dignitary, but Anakin is distracted by his scantily-clad wives, and one of them pinches his lightsaber. Now wanting to tell his master of his mistake, Anakin sneaks into the dignitary’s room to get it back. She happens to be in the room with her sound-sleeping husband (the other wives “nice” enough to let him through) and she offers to return it for a…price, one that Jedi are forbidden to give, plus the woman’s married. She respects his integrity (which she was testing) and decides he’s trustworthy, but someone already took it from her, namely Obi-Wan, who saw the pickpocketing in action and used the Force to get it back, then didn’t tell Anakin to see what he’d do. I don’t think he was ready for the lengths Anakin went to.

What they got right: This was a fun little tale. Anakin and Obi-Wan’s interactions are always interesting and make what happens in Revenge Of The Sith that much more tragic. The art is very good.

What they got wrong: I really have no complaints.

Recommendation: You may have better luck getting the comic this came from rather than this special reprint but it’s a good story so however you find it give it a look.
