With their newfound power, the Decepticons invade Cyber City and hand the Autobots a major defeat. However, they’re about to get one of their own, when the three Mini-Cons who escaped finds Sparkplug and together rescue the other Mini-Cons (except for the ones the Decepticons brought with them). They take off in a spaceship and leave Cybertron…but then one of the thrusters breaks.

What they got right: That’s actually a pretty clever hide and escape plan using the garbage district. The art is still very good. (And considering how many artists are working on this thing it better be.)

What they got wrong: So in this version not all of the Mini-Cons escape? That’s probably going to come back to hurt everyone. And they suffer the same problem as the show. Some of these Mini-Cons become tanks and drillers. Other can partly transform and be used in other ways. Yet they’re still just power boosters. Did nobody actually play with the toys and see the real potential in these things? It would have enhance playtime for kids.

Recommendation: This is still better than the television show. It’s worth checking out.
