How does one fight an alien invasion when the robot is bigger than the planet you’re trying to defend? Dr G. convinces Takuma it doesn’t matter. He’s willing to destroy the Earth to get his revenge and convinces the kid that without Koyori that the planet is meaningless and to get his revenge. But when the girl turns up alive Takuma can’t bring himself to destroy the planet, but the Zogelian commander sees a hostage to use against Dodekain!

I’m breaking format with this one because I don’t have anything to add to the “got right” that I didn’t discuss in the first two issues. I still like the concept and while I’m not laughing at anything (I don’t laugh easy) I am amused by the characters and story. However, Takuma and Koyori don’t look 12-years-old, like the comic states. They look more around 15 or 16. Also, Dr G. is willing to kill off the humans to get his revenge on the Zogelians for destroying Palameria. And he talks about Dodekain being powerful enough to wipe out the Zogelian homeworld, Zogelia. I understand the latter but the former makes him just as bad as the invaders because he’s willing to kill all of the Earthlings, and he’s been on this planet for many years somehow constructing Dodekain. I’m not so willing to feel bad for him now.

That all said, it’s still a fun story and this afternoon we’ll finish the first of two story arcs for this series. I still say pick it up.
