Transformers Armada #10

Well, you’re not an official Optimus Prime if you don’t die at least once.

Transformers Armada #10

Optimus makes it to Cybertron but a single ship is all Jetfire can spare since the Decepticons still on Cybertron (I wonder if THEY have Mini-Cons?) have the Autobots spread thin. On Earth, Red Alert and Hot Shot get into a firefight with Starscream and Thrust to protect the location of the Cybertronian Autobase. Meanwhile, the Destruction Team launches the mine with Rad inside, Mirage, moved by Sparkplug’s speech about how they weren’t asked, but forced to come up here, like the Decepticons before, works to help Sparkplug rescue Rad, while Megatron breaks into the Mini-Con base and has Leader-1 take over the control center. But does Megatron’s slave have other ideas?

I’m reading two different series from relatively the same time by the same author. And yet Armada and The War Within: The Dark Ages are two different animals. Don’t get me wrong. Whatever problems I have with The Dark Ages are nothing compared to his Marvel and IDW runs but it’s not very good, while this is rather good. They have a good art and coloring team, the stories are more interesting, and Earth has yet to be demolished (as I recall that’s coming in Energon, though.) I’m still enjoying this. This is still a good series and you guys should check it out.
