Like most fans I was disappointed to find out they were getting rid of the Expanded Universe of comics, video games, and novels altogether. I understand that there’s a lot of ground to cover but even though Lucasfilm never truly acknowledged them to begin with there are a few things I think they should have kept. While I personally like the Droids series and comics keeping the “Thrawn trilogy” (for the uninitiated, this isn’t today’s link) storyline and Shadows Of The Empire (they still use Black Sun from that book) from the novels should have been a no-brainer.
