Darkhawk #32
Marvel (October, 1993)
“Savage Return” WRITER: Danny Fingeroth PENCILER: Tod Smith INKERS: Ian Akin & Mick Gray COLORIST: Troy Sayers LETTERER: Bill Oakley EDITOR: Nel Yomtov
Missing the second annual the appearance of a new, less murder-happy Savage Steel armor wearer (and his team) is joined by Darkhawk to take down a team of Latverians who think Doctor Doom is, as Savage Steel puts it, “too liberal”. Meanwhile, Chris is trying to find a new place to live and Broderick begins his plan of destroying the Powells by befriending Jason.
What they got right: I’m happy to see a new not-killing superhero so having a Savage Steel on the good side works for me.
What they got wrong: Not much. There isn’t much to discuss with this story but it’s not a bad story.
Recommendation: A decent enough story that’s worth a look.
