The saddest part of the Clone Saga? They had to parody themselves to save face. Didn't work.

The Clone Saga is one of the most beloved and hated character events in Marvel history, probably done in by One More Day, except in the Saga’s case the same people that like it also hate it. That’s because Marvel’s higher-ups decided to extend the event past the intended length because it was making money…thus proving they didn’t understand how storytelling works. So bad was this that myths came up over this, like this was another attempt to end the Spider-Marriage (and that’s easy to believe considering Spider-Writers hatred of Peter being happy…although now our “everyman” is living Tony Stark’s life). Or that a Superman event was altered thanks to the fallout. Brian Cronin learns these were not true. Sadly, Osborn’s part was, but not the one we got.
